ThirdWave carries out City of San Carlos Website Redesign Assessment

The City of San Carlos was seeking a qualified firm to execute a website redesign needs assessment outlining the vision, goals, and key elements of a new website and intranet. ThirdWave was selected from a field of twenty-three local and national website consultants/ design firms.

The City Council's 2016-2017 Strategic Plan includes Public Outreach, Community Engagement and Social Media as a key component. One of the objectives under this goal is to, "redesign the City website to make it easier for the community to locate desired information and engage them.” The objective was to identify innovative, cutting edge methods for serving customers and communicating the City's message. The data from the needs assessment informed a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a redesigned, state-of-the-art website and intranet, cloud-based hosting, and a robust content management system.

 

The project was complete on schedule and on budget and ThirdWave also provide input and guidance on the RFP development and solicitation process. The City selected a leading web design vendor and the website is currently underway.
