ThirdWave to Refresh City of Berkeley Digital Strategic Plan
February 13, 2020
The City of Berkeley has retained ThirdWave to refresh the Digital Strategic Plan it developed for the city in 2016.
Four years into the successful implementation the City’s Digital Strategic Roadmap, ThirdWave will partner with the City to update and articulate the City’s technology path for the next 5 years.
The City of Berkeley has completed approximately one-hundred and fifty (150) substantial technology initiatives. These have included major infrastructure improvements, the deployment of Enterprise Resources Planning systems, and numerous department applications. A number of non-technology initiative recommendations have been implemented. These include the following: an IT organization realignment, Help Desk tools, IT service delivery enhancements and IT Department's certification in the Rapid Workflow® business process improvement best practice.
“As testimonial to ThirdWave’s trusted relationship with the City of Berkeley, this is the ninth project awarded to ThirdWave in four years; we are privileged,” noted Roy Hernandez, ThirdWave President/CEO.
After assessing completed, in-progress and completed initiatives, new strategic initiatives will be identified. In addition, a detailed five-year timeline and budget will be articulated, supported by an IT organizational assessment.
