Carlsbad engages ThirdWave to develop Taxonomy for HP Autonomy Enterprise Content Management System
December 24, 2015
The City of Carlsbad has engaged ThirdWave to produce an enterprise-wide taxonomy that will be used to support the implementation of an HP Autonomy Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS).
This critical engagement will replace an IBM FileNet ECMS implemented by ThirdWave in 2001, for which we were awarded an AIIM National Award for “Government ECMS Implementations costing more the $1,000,000” and an AIIM International Award for “Project Management Best Practices for Large IT Projects.” Fifteen years later, the City will implement state-of-the-art workflow automation to enhance mission critical business processes. The HP Autonomy (HP, Palo Alto, CA) will provide a complete array of capabilities including Information Analytics, Unified Information Access, Information Archiving, eDiscovery, and Enterprise Content Management.
The project will use ThirdWave’s award winning methodology to develop enterprise taxonomy for various business processes including: Agenda, Purchasing, Contract Management, Community & Economic Development Permitting, Secured Agreements, Enterprise-wide Reports & Studies, Request for Proposals CIP RFP/Non CIP RFPs,8. Records Management and Public Safety.
