ThirdWave Assists Costa Mesa Replace ERP System with Oracle

Costa Mesa, CA. The City of Costa Mesa continued its longstanding partnership with ThirdWave through the evaluation, selection, and implementation of a new Oracle ERP system. The new solution replaces the City’s legacy PeopleSoft system and represents a significant step toward modernizing its enterprise technology environment.
The ERP RFP was completed during a previous phase of the engagement. In the current phase, ThirdWave applied its copyrighted “ERP Procurement Lifecycle for Success” methodology, encompassing the Assess, Define, Solicit, Select, and Negotiate processes. Through this structured approach, ThirdWave guided the City through a comprehensive and disciplined ERP procurement and selection process, helping ensure alignment between the selected solution and the City’s organizational and operational requirements.
Steve Ely, Information Technology Director, shared the following regarding the project:
