Laguna Beach, town of picturesque beaches, walkable downtown, and art festivals selects ThirdWave for its 5 Year IT Master Plan

ThirdWave has been selected by the City of Laguna Beach to develop a 5-Year IT Master Plan (ITMP), marking our 180th IT master plan for local government.

Laguna Beach is a small coastal city known for its picturesque beaches, extensive hiking trails, walkable downtown, and renowned summer art festivals. Located in southwest Orange County, the City spans 8.84 square miles, is home to approximately 23,000 residents, and attracts over six million visitors each year.

The ITMP will evaluate the City’s technology environment, operational processes, and management practices to identify issues and opportunities. The plan will be strategically focused, fiscally responsible, and aligned with the needs of this vibrant beach community. Key components will include a cybersecurity assessment, a Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plan, and best-practice benchmarking with comparable municipalities.

This engagement represents the 17th California beach city for which ThirdWave has developed an IT Master Plan, stretching from Sausalito to San Diego, further reinforcing our leadership in California and across the nation. “We appreciate the City selecting ThirdWave for this critical project.
