Newport Beach is one of the most beautiful seaside communities in Southern California, offering a sophisticated charm reminiscent of St. Tropez on the French Riviera. Known for its “villages” that include the Balboa Peninsula, Lido Marina Village, Mariner’s Mile, Balboa Island, Coronado Del Mar, Newport Coast, the Islands of Newport Harbor and the Newport Center / Fashion Island, Newport Beach is one of the most attractive communities on the west coast. The City offers eight miles of extraordinary fishing, swimming, surfing, and aquatic sports activities. 
 
The City of Newport Beach retained ThirdWave in a highly competitive solicitation process with national and Orange County IT firms to create a comprehensive IT Strategic Plan for meet the goals, objectives and vision of the community and the City: foster the ongoing organizational transformation to establish a "Smarter, Faster, Smaller" city providing exceptional services. This engagement will focus on adopting ways to enhance public access to information and services and develop an IT investment strategy for the enhancement/replacement of aged systems. This is a rough place to work but someone has to do it.
