March 22, 2021
Novato Sanitary District is a special district located in Novato, California, serving about 60,000 residents. The District covers approximately 34 square miles providing wastewater collection, treatment, disposal and recycling for Novato and the surrounding area. District facilities include approximately 250 miles of sewers, 40 pump stations, a wastewater treatment plant, and an approximately 800-acre reclamation facility. Additionally, the District franchises garbage collection and recycling for the Novato area, and administers local solid waste diversion activities.
Novato Sanitary District retained ThirdWave to carry out an IT Strategic Plan. This will encompass an assessment and strategic plan covering all aspects of the Districts operations, including but not limited to financial systems, human resource systems, computerized maintenance management systems, work order systems, GIS systems, and externally facing customer service systems. In addition, the plan will utilize ThirdWave’s patented Rapid Workflow methodology to evaluate mission critical business processes that are currently paper based. The plan will define the IT system architecture and provide the District-specific direction for the short- and long-term development and management of IT infrastructure and information management systems.
“We are grateful to have been selected for this important project. In the highly competitive space that is IT Consulting to the special district marketplace in California, we know the District had their choice of numerous, large IT consulting companies,” stated Roy Hernandez, President of ThirdWave.
