Portfolio/Project Management & Resource Capacity Management Project Completed for 2nd Largest US City

Philadelphia, PA. ThirdWave delivered the successful enterprise analysis, requirements, and recommendations for Portfolio/Project Management and Resource Capacity Management for the City of Brotherly Love.

The project involved a collaborative effort with stakeholders to assess current and future Project Portfolio Management (PPM) needs. ThirdWave worked with the following large departments:

   

• OIT Enterprise & Architecture PMO

• OIT Digital Services    

• OIT Operations     

• OIT City Geo        

• Water Department

• Public Safety

• Streets Department

• Health Department

Specific tasks included management interviews and Rapid Workflow® business process improvement workshops addressing IT project tracking and PPM maturity levels and processes. Research of the PPM marketplace and related cost were carried out, culminating with implementation strategies and benefits.

The Office of Innovation & Technology used the project’s output to drive requirements definition, software evaluation and implementation related to Project Portfolio and Resource Capacity Management for the 2nd largest city in the US.
