Northern California Water District Engages ThirdWave for Business Process Reengineering and Taxonomy Development

Placer County Water Agency (PCWA) is the primary water resource agency for Placer County, California. The agency carries out a broad range of responsibilities including water resource planning and management, retail and wholesale supply of irrigation water and drinking water, and the production of hydroelectric energy in Placer County's 1,500 square mile area. 
 
PCWA retained ThirdWave to lend our patented Rapid Workflow services to identifiy opportunties for achieving business process improvement with the effective use of Enterprise Content Management Systems. As-Is and To-Be Rapid Workflow workshops were held with the agency’s business process owners and an emterprise taxonomy was developed. The data gathered in the project will be used to foster transformational change, internal operating efficiencies and enhance the use of content management systems at PCWA.
